Good evening to all,
Well like I said before, I'm not very good at this keeping up with what's good in my life. So here is a bit of an update. I have so far as of February 28, 2011 lost 37.6lbs. I'm starting full foods but getting mostly frustrated, Protein is NOT my friend! My brother went to this event over the weekend called the Arnold, it is where all the big body builders and health freaks go, so he brought me some new protein samples to try. I am going to put them to the test! Starting tomorrow i'm starting my "training" session.
I have 8 Friday's left in Carlisle so I'm going to see how much weight I can loose in 8 weeks. Gym here I come, I also start a new term...Looks like I'm going to be pretty well busy. I'm ok with that, it makes my time go by way faster.
So I'm starting at. 342.4lbs
Wish me luck, let's just hope I don't break anything (lol)
I'm signing off now it's way past my bedtime!

Sorry
I'm so bad when it comes to blogging, and keeping a diary. I have every intention of updating everyone of what's going on but, then something else comes up. So let me bring everyone up to speed. January 18th 2011 was the big day. I have now officially had gastric bypass. Two years later in the making. On the day I weighed in I weight 380lbs seriously? Oh I have a ton of hard work up ahead. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 days on an ice diet that was not so bad except I was soooo thirsty I was only allowed 2 oz every hour. The drugs and my mom kept me pretty well occupied though. I was released on the 20th, now it was time to go home and do this whole change thing. Thank the lord for my husband who is a math wiz, I would still be sitting with protein and water in my hand today with that great dumbfounded look on my face!
So here we are first week home, I'm tired, I'm in pain, my mom was leaving that Sunday so I was all sorts of just....grumpy. My diet for the first week....4oz of water every 1 hour and now Chicken Broth with protein I have to get a minimum of 60 grams of protein a day....O k piece of cake.....(bleh) on day 4 (chicken broth 3 times a day bleh) So my loving husband decides let's try protein shakes. Wooohooo something different, that was a huge success until Saturday.....I REFUSE anymore chocolate protein shakes I'm on strike!!.
So it is now Sunday tomorrow is my follow up with my surgeon hopefully he has great things to say and I have lost a lot of weight (so far i'm thinkin either 5-15lbs) it all depends on who's scale is right. Mine we all know is TOTALLY OFF!!!
I feel off the bandwagon and had a disgusting protein shake for breakfast and now....Ohhhhhhhh this is soooooooo yummy I'm having scrambled eggs do you know how long I have waited for this? It's getting better! =)
I promise it wont be 3 weeks before my next entry! =)
enjoy

Hiccups
Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike hiccups? After a few embarrassing "outbursts" in my mama's receptionists ear I now truly dislike them. What's in a hiccup? Why out of all the body parts that spasm that's the most annoying one?
(Oh I'm sorry I forgot to mention I have random thoughts and sayings so beware.)
I have nothing better to do today, my house is clean and I'm finishing up laundry. Man I'm kinda glad school is back in session Monday I'm starting to go a little stir crazy! I could knock the dust off of my elliptical but I'm afraid I might go into a hiccup frenzy and keal over. Oh what a wonderful life I live. lol
Hoping everyone else is having a fantastic day! I'm going toPublish Post continue to try and get rid of these obnoxious hiccups.

New at this
Hello to all that is reading this,My name is Heidi and I'm 29 years old. My husband and I have been married for 8 years in March. He is in the Army and currently we are stationed in Carlisle, PA, I am a freshman 1/2 in College, I'm majoring in Applied Psychology with a minor in Child Advocacy.
There are a few changes that are taking place in 2011 in the Hogan household. The biggest challenge that we will face is in a couple of weeks. I am having Gastric Bypass January 18. I'm a little nervous I have never had a major surgery before, but I am ready for the new me!
So my story begins.......
I have tried to get this started in the past but by the time I get into it my husband would get deployed. So we figured since we are going to be stationed here in Carlisle. In April of 2009 is when it all began, Starting the nutrition appointments in Hershey and the money spent traveling an hour back and fourth to 5 minute appointments, Waiting for the Nutritionist I was paying 60.00 a pop for to tell me I was doing everything wrong and no help in correcting it WHAT SO EVER! I finally got the rejection letter in March 2010. So off to a different clinic I started in May of 2010. The ladies in the clinic have been fantastic. They have bent over backwards and forwards for me, I have had last minute testing and being poked 5003 times gets a bit old after a while but in the end it's worth it. So I was hoping our insurance company would grant their approval in October. (Our time here at Carlisle is coming to an end) So in the gathering of my papers for submission Hershey took it upon their own to slip in a fraudulent psych evaluation. and not include three months of nutrition. There we were thinking it was all going to work out....WRONG! I was required to do three more months of nutrition, wonderful, great, grand!!! So after our extension was approved we are now spending an extra 3 months in Carlisle. Our life is jam packed between Jan 18 and May 10. Major Surgery, Major Move to a new state, town, Army base. BRING ON 2011!!!
This is it, in a nutshell. If I continue to rant I will have nothing left to blog!
So until next time :o)
